Works for me! I like the reflection. The only way you could have improved on this shot was if you had a female life guard. In a bikini! (Sorry, am I being sexist again?)
VERY cool, B.F! I really like how the symmetry is created in two different ways… both with the physical placement of the second pool and in the fantastic reflection. Dissecting how those pieces fit together to mimic the space above really pulls me in!
I do! Especially for such a busy place!
I also think it’s nice how you’ve got fairly major horizontals and the strong vertical of that lifeguard and pole falling roughly at thirds here. I know people say the rule of thirds gets used a lot… but the reason that is the case is because it really can help add balance to an image (I think, anyway)!
🙂
You’re so knowledgeable. You can dissect my photo any day. I learn a lot from you. This is most complimentary coming from you, the master! Perhaps I will take another photo and put it on my blog. You know, do the next challenge. 🙂
I’m the farthest thing from it! But I love looking at photos… and I try to find the things I like the most about images in the hope it might help me figure it all out someday!
I hope you dot! And maybe someday you will use some of your photos to create book covers for all your incredible writing!
🙂
Oh, no….you’re most talented and you’re a professional. You’re so very encouraging. You can just send me random comments any time you like about my writing, if you feel that way. 🙂 Well, I’ll keep snapping away then. I’m sure you would be able to do a far better book cover.

No, you’re funny! I don’t think any of the lifeguards we’re wearing a bikini. Sorry about that. 🙂
