Mischievous Shoes
to whom do you belong?
Could it be gardening gnomes
with purposeful plans?
…
No, caught once again,
it’s the Wicked Witch of the East
Without body or legs
in the squash patch
Oh, and now she’s a runner

These shoes are supposed to be some kind of gardening trick, but I don’t what it is exactly. I wish I knew, because I’m sure it would help me. I just found it a little odd is all. Do you?

… and she was able to slip out of the shoes from beneath the hose … thus only a trick that a witch could do. 🙂
Because I know writers hang out here, I want to plug my challenge. https://afrankangle.wordpress.com/challenge-2/ … after all, your friends are also mine, although they may not know it. 😉

Fun post, Amy. Perhaps the shoes are there to provide shelter for passing snails maybe? I like the witch theory better, though.

Could be, Tom. That theory seems credible. But there’s always a witch lurking somewhere, isn’t there? I think you would know the answer to that one!

I’ve never heard of this gardening trick, Amy. I must try it – maybe it will scare the bandicoots away because they’ll think a witch lives here (hmmmm, and they be right) 😀

Ooh, maybe that will help those scary spiders crawling around in your neck of the woods. Ha ha. Or, maybe the shoes would be a nice little place for them. Thanks, Dianne.
