Weekly Photo Challenge: Earth

This week’s photo challenge is Earth.

Share your vision of our magnificent Earth through your lens.

Since the Earth is 75% water, I choose a photo of our beautiful Pacific ocean. It amazes me that only 5% of this vast liquid space has been explored. It makes me wonder what’s out there for us to discover.

In the meantime, I hope we can respect our oceans so we can continue to enjoy them as only oceans can be enjoyed.

for whatever we lose
(like a you or a me)
it’s always our self
we find in the sea.

    1. It’s amazing to think what we don’t know about our planet. Maybe there’s someone out there who knows it better than we do. Or, that someday we’ll know more about other planets than our own. Hopefully we don’t muck the ocean too much before we can someday be able to explore more of it.

      1. It does to seem to be a sad reality. Why does this happen? I think the reality is too painful to face. It seems easier to go explore someplace else perhaps. Not a solution.

    1. Carrie, I looked it up again to make sure I got this right. It’s actually less than 5%! It’s really hard to believe, isn’t it? It is a mystery and it could be scary. There could be monsters!

    1. Thank you, Barbara. Hmm…well, I’ve only seen the Atlantic from the Northeastern side and it seemed quite chilly. I’ve never swam in it either. Otherwise, I’d say it’s all just the big sea!
