Welcome to my blog, where I write with my hair down!
No, it’s not a disco, but I do love to dance. In fact, I danced in many regional companies over the years. My favorite part was when I danced as “The Wind” in the The Tempest. I got so into my part, I blew off the stage and fell into a patron’s lap. Well, I made that last part up. I did fall off the stage though. Luckily, it was only a foot off the ground.
I grew up in Southern California in a large family of six kids in a noisy household with lots of music, listening to anything and everything from Duke Ellington to Led Zeppelin. Living with the threat of earthquakes, I imagined my home town would be the epicenter of the Big One.
Now, I live in Northern California, just outside of Sacramento, with my husband and two sons. It’s not San Francisco, as I had always dreamed. It seems like a cruel joke, to be so close but not there at all. It turns out suburbia suits us just fine.
I have been told that in a past life I was a once a monk, probably living on the Italian countryside making wine. Don’t monks do that? That would explain my love of red wine, and the chance that we may have met in some previous century. If that’s the case, it’s nice to meet you again.
In addition to red wine, I’m crazy about coffee, Indian food, dance, boot camp, and of course, reading and writing.
In my blog, I will be writing some stories, anything that strikes me as relevant for the day, and hopefully, we’ll laugh along the way.
I love comments, so tell me your story. It’s great to meet you here.
Feel free to email at amyreesewrites(at)gmail(dot)com.
I love this introduction Amy, and how odd that I have only just read it, I must be slacking as normally I do venture further than the leading pages of the Spaces I visit, and I will be touring your Bumble Files more often than I have been. Don’t worry I won’t leave any wayward skeletons or brain craving zombies when I return to my realm, well unless one happens to escape, and they often do you know? ๐ฆ Okay enough said, but do watch out where you bend over as the third one on the left is a bit cheeky, and nipping is his forte ๐
Have a wonderful start to your Tuesday Amy and mind twirling
your hair in front of red wine tasters, as some of them are Vampires ๐ lol

Andro, you are not slacking. I just put this intro up as part of new blog, which is really an extension of the existing Bumble Files. That’s how I think of it now anyway! If you leave skeletons and zombies behind I cannot promise that you will get them back. Hahahaha. Watching my back now and looking out the cheeky, nipping ones.
You, too, have a lovely day, Andro. Off to twirl my hair now. ๐
